Admittedly, this photo has nothing to do with the topic of this post. However, when I google-imaged "sell out," this photo popped up, and I thought it was the funniest of the lot.
According to the NYT, rock stars are now learning the value of branding and licensing their images and music, though some are refusing to partner with corporations just for the sake of it.
Did you know that the Black Crowes sell their own rolling papers? Just a note.

No doubt. This is the new wave: unlike its predecessors, the DIY scene these days is all about capitalism, just not corporate capitalism. I say, rock on.
